How To Care For Quartz Countertops

Quartz Countertop Care
A major consideration in choosing quartz for a countertop is the fact that they do not need to be sealed. Since quartz is non porous, moisture does not seep into it. When purchasing a quartz countertop, it comes directly from the factory with a polished surface that gives it a natural protection and moisture barrier.

The quartz may be resistant to stains or moisture, but care should be exercised when handling hot pans or baking sheets. Quartz can handle some heat, for a short period of time, but it is best to use heat pads under hot pans. When high heat is set on quartz for a prolonged time, it can cause serious discoloration, burns, and damage.

Quartz Cleaning
Using non-abrasive cleaners to keep your quartz countertops clean is the best option and a warm water and vinegar solution or warm water and detergent will work best. Wipe off the counter top with a sponge or soft cloth.
