How to Make Quartz Countertops Shine-Benyee Quartz

How to Make Quartz Countertops Shine
You can keep quartz countertops shiny with the right techniques and products. Compared to other natural stone surfaces, engineered quartz is low maintenance. It is harder, more durable and requires less maintenance than marble or granite. Unlike granite or marble, quartz never needs to be sealed.

Step 1
Polish quartz daily for a brilliant shine. Fill a spray bottle with plain water. Squirt a couple of drops of mild soap, such as dish detergent on the counter. Spritz water on the countertop to dilute the soap. Use a soft cloth and work from one end of the countertop to the other spraying and polishing a few feet at a time, adding soap as needed.
Step 2
Spray with vinegar and water or a vinegar-based cleaner to avoid streaks on dark surfaces. An environmentally friendly way to polish black and dark shades of quartz is to make a vinegar and water solution. Add 25 percent vinegar to 75 percent water and mix in a spray bottle, or purchase a vinegar-based spray cleaner. Apply, as in the first step, polishing as you work across the counter. For extra dazzle, give the countertops a final polish with a little bit of spray and a microfiber cloth.
Step 3
Eliminate sticky substances by soaking with the vinegar and water spray and allowing it to stand. Spritz on cleaner and allow it to pool in the sticky areas and remain for a few minutes before wiping with a paper towel. If your homemade vinegar and water spray is not up to the job, try using a mild multi-surface spray, like Windex Multi-Surface Vinegar. Real Simple magazine recommends Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day Countertop Spray. To clean countertops in lighter quartz colors, stick to clear spray cleaners, avoiding colored products for best results.
Step 4
Disinfect countertops after they come into contact with raw meats, seafood, poultry or fish. First use paper towels to wipe up residual moisture and debris. Then using a clean paper towel, spray the counter with a multi-surface antibacterial spray cleaner and allow it to stand for a few seconds. Work across the countertop spraying and wiping from end to end until you finish.
