Quartz countertops benefits and advantages | Benyee Quartz

Get the high-quality look of stone—without its inconsistent patterns and veins—with engineered quartz kitchen countertops.

Most often compared to granite countertops, quartz countertops are hard, durable, non-porous and attractive in appearance. But unlike granite, quartz kitchen countertops don't require polishing or sealing.

The look of quartz, because it is man-made quartz stone, is more uniform in color and pattern than that of granite. This is often considered a plus for homeowners who enjoy symmetry or who are turned off by the less consistent patterning and veining of granite.

Engineered from a combination of crushed quartz (about 93 percent) and resins and pigments (about 7 percent), quartz countertops are produced in a wide variety of colors; in general, the color palette depends on how coarsely the material is crushed.

Heat- and scratch-resistant, the counters are also easy to care for, requiring little to no maintenance. As with granite, countertop seams may be visible depending on the size of the slab. Expect the price per square foot to match or exceed many of its good-looking but hard-working counterparts, like granite, concrete and marble.
